| Members of the United Way of Greater Houston Women's Initiative gathered at The Heart and Vascular Institute of Memorial Hermann Hospital on March 9, 2010 for a timely and fascinating program on "Health Care Reform – What now?" featuring Dr. Guy Clifton (Professor of Neurosurgery, UT Medical School – Houston) and Dr. Carmel Dyer (Professor & Executive Vice-Chairman of Internal Medicine and Director, Division of Geriatric & Palliative Medicine, UT Medical School – Houston). Our special thanks to Pattie Dale Tye of Humana Health Plans Houston, Memorial Hermann and UT Medical School for hosting and sponsoring this event. Members of the United Way Women's Initiative are like-minded philanthropic women who contribute to the United Way because they believe that United Way is the best way to make the biggest difference in our community. Throughout the year, members participate in educational, social and networking events designed to further their awareness of the needs of the community and educate them on how United Way is improving lives and making a lasting difference in the quality of life we all enjoy. |
