Peggy Montana is Vice President Global Distribution at Shell Oil Company. She is responsible for safe, customer-focused and cost-effective operation of fuel terminals and secondary distribution worldwide. She operates a budget of $1.7 billion. Montana earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1976 from the University of Missouri and started her career with Shell right out of college. From 1977 to 1985 she worked as an engineer (and then senior engineer) in both Texas and Louisiana. During that time, she had various engineering assignments. Accomplishments include being a team member for successful new plant startups, including EO/EG-2 at the Gismar chemical plant, OP-5 at Norco refinery and CCU revamp at the Deer Park refinery. She also held an engineering group leader position at Norco. Since then Montana has sewed as a Refining Process Manager at the Shell's Deer Park Manufacturing Complex, Research Manager at the company's Westhollow Research Center, Clean Fuels Project & Operations/TechnicaI Manager, Business Manager Lubricants, General Manager Distribution and Vice President Supply. Montana is a Board member of the Houston Area Urban League, a Campus Ambassador for the Colorado School of Mines and an Executive Member for Shell's WAVE (Women Adding Value Everywhere) network.
