| Young Leaders: Making a Brighter Future Possible |
These compassionate young professionals are committed to strengthening our community and our future. Young Leaders see the possibilities all around us and are committed to making them a reality in Houston. In 2009, 2,570 Young Leaders contributed more than $4.5 million to United Way, making it possible for more individuals, families and neighborhoods to thrive.
Young Leaders are donors age 45 and under who contribute $1,000 or more annually to United Way. Young Leaders enjoy a full roster of educational, social and service events designed to prepare them to serve our community.
We proudly thank our Young Leaders for generously supporting our community through United Way. Young Leaders not only improve the quality of life in our area today, they embrace the possibility of a better tomorrow. |

| Thank You Chairman's Club and Young Leaders |
Nearly 700 United Way Chairman's Club members and Young Leaders gathered under the "City Lights" on May 5 for a thank-you reception in their honor. West Ave, one of Houston's newest mixed-use developments, provided a vibrant urban backdrop for the celebration. |

"The Developing Leaders Series helps prepare the next generation of decision-makers to step up and take their place as leaders in the local community. The workshops, training and networking opportunities are invaluable resources for tomorrow's leaders today."
William Garnes, ExxonMobil
"The greatest benefit of being a United Way Young Leader is knowing that you are helping meet the needs of one in every two Houstonians. On top of that, being a Young Leader allows you to meet, network with and learn from other Houston-area professionals at a host of great events."
Robert Boudwin, Houston Rockets
