Women’s Initiative

$2,500 or more annually

United Way of Greater Houston launched it Women’s Initiative in 1999 to recognize the vital role that women play in our community and to increase the opportunities for women to fully participate as philanthropists and leaders.  Members are talented women of influence who expand their personal and professional networks through exclusive events and activities.

In 2006-07, members contributed more than $2.1 million, an increase of more than $503,000 and includes 151 members of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society.  Read more…
