“The outreach of these women members – outstanding and selfless – is remarkable to witness, and I am proud to be a small part of this great effort. The Women’s Initiative is making a positive difference in the lives of those in need in our great city.”

United Way Women’s Initiative

Women do more…the United Way.  Members of the Women’s Initiative visibly demonstrate what it means to do something about it for our community.

We are professionals, business leaders and community volunteers who come together to make our community a better place for everyone.  We make a lasting impact through our philanthropy and leadership, and we are role models who inspire others to follow in our footsteps.

Through the United Way, we are committed to supporting women and improving the quality of life in our community.  Read about our experiences…join our voice…and invest in the power of women.

Nobody does more for Houston!

Many of Houston’s business and community giants gathered under The Corinthian’s towering columns for great food, good cheer and a chance to greet featured speaker The Honorable George H. W. Bush.

“We are blessed and honored to have you as partners in the community,” United Way President and CEO Anna M. Babin told the more than 400 members of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society at the February 27th event.
