Campaign Highlights

Congratulations to Devon Energy, which raised more than $750,500 this year, including a dollar-for-dollar company match. United Way is grateful for the strong support of Vice President and General Manager Tony Vaughn and Campaign Chairman Greg Kelleher. We also thank Campaign Coordinators Lori Parr, MaryAnn Stanko and Joan Allan-Kayser for their hard work and dedication.

We salute Jacobs Engineering Group, which raised more than $736,400 for United Way this year. We appreciate the leadership of Vice President Mike Autry. We also thank Campaign Coordinators Charles Ransome, Richard Millhiser, Garnet Gunn and Aaron Glenn for running a great campaign this year!

Thanks to Cameron, which raised more than $524,000 this year, including a dollar-for-dollar company match. Results reflect a 32 percent increase over 2008-09 results. We appreciate the leadership and support of President and CEO Jack Moore. We also thank Campaign Coordinators Roger Clark and Rosemary Harrell for their hard work and community spirit!

BHP Billiton Petroleum raised more than $430,600 this year, including a dollar-for-dollar company match. Results reflect a 26 percent increase over 2008-09. We thank CEO Michael Yeager for his leadership and support. We also thank Campaign Chairman David Powell and Campaign Coordinators Doris Thompson and Sherylin McMurtrey for supporting our community—the United Way!

We salute Valero Refining-Texas, L.P., which raised more than $345,600 for United Way this year, including a 50 percent company match. We appreciate the leadership and commitment of Plant Manager Mark Skobel. We also thank Campaign Coordinators Hector Mena, Shantel Noble and Bridgett Griffin for an outstanding effort!

We appreciate Texas Instruments, which raised more than $276,900, including a generous corporate gift. We thank Campaign Chairman Dave Deptula for his leadership and support. We also thank Campaign Coordinator Donna Madersheid for her hard work and dedication.

Congratulations to PricewaterhouseCoopers, which raised more than $238,000 for United Way this year. We appreciate the leadership and commitment of Managing Partner Rich Paterson. We also thank the Campaign Team led by Charlotte Clanton for their outstanding community spirit!

We thank Fayez Sarofim & Co., which raised more than $226,900 for United Way this year, including a dollar-for-dollar company match. Results reflect a 3 percent increase over last year. We thank Principal Nancy Gilbert for her support. We also thank Campaign Coordinator Gracie Hernandez for her hard work this year. Together, we do something about it!

We salute KPMG LLP, which raised more than $213,000 this year, more than double results from the previous year. United Way appreciates the support of Managing Partner Bud Giesinger. We also thank Campaign Chair Nancy Bumgarner and Campaign Coordinators Susan Pride and Christy Schnellhardt for another great campaign!

Congratulations to Haynes and Boone, LLP, which raised more than $200,000 for United Way this year. We appreciate the leadership of Administrative Partner Kenneth Broughton and Partner Lynne Liberato. We also thank Campaign Coordinators Carol Phagan and Terrie Boyd and Young Leaders Liaison Erin LeBaron for an outstanding effort!

We thank Coca-Cola North America, which raised more than $184,900 this year, including a 50 percent company match. We are grateful for the leadership and support of Senior Vice President and General Manager Mike Saint John. We also thank Campaign Chair Ingrid Burke and Campaign Coordinator Denise Schumann for their hard work and dedication!

We appreciate Kroger, which raised more than $179,700 for United Way this year, a 68 percent increase over 2008-09 results. We thank Southwest Division President Bill Breetz for his leadership and dedication. We also thank Campaign Coordinator Telicia Williams for her commitment and community spirit!

Zachry Construction Corporation raised more than $176,200 for United Way this year, including a 75 percent company match. We appreciate the support of Project Manager Leon Cowan and Site Manager Bruce Dockall. We also thank Campaign Chairs Luke Martin, Rhonda Mudd and Cathy Obriotti-Green and the entire Zachry team for running a great campaign!

Thanks to EPCO, Inc., which raised more than $118,300 for United Way this year. We appreciate the leadership of EPCO President and CEO Michael Creel and TEPPCO President and CEO Jerry Thompson. We also thank Campaign Coordinator Dan Bush for his commitment to our community. You do something about it!  

We appreciate Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, which raised more than $96,200 this year, a 6 percent increase over 2008-09 results.
