Shell/Motiva Campaign Exceeds $6.3 Million

Congratulations to Shell Oil Company and Motiva Enterprises LLC for another successful campaign! Motiva Enterprises LLC president and CEO Bob Pease and other company representatives announced the results at a check presentation held at United Way.

United Way Celebrates the Alexis de Tocqueville Society

Co-chairs Dorothy Ables, chief administrative officer for Spectra Energy and Bobby Tudor, chairman and CEO of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co., LLC, welcomed President and Mrs. George H. W. Bush and nearly 500 members of United Way of Greater Houston’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society to a March 1 dinner in their honor. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston provided a stunning backdrop for the annual event recognizing the leadership and generosity of this important group of donors.

April 6 - Law Firm Initiative Thank You Reception and Awards Ceremony, 6:00 p.m. at the United Way Center. The Law Firm Initiative brings leaders from Houston’s legal and corporate communities together to support those facing life’s toughest challenges.

April 22 - Leadership Circle Appreciation Reception, 6:00 p.m. at Brennan's. Leadership Circle members are devoted individuals who take a stand for our community through their extraordinary gifts ranging from $5,000 to $9,999.

May 5 - Chairman's Club/Young Leaders Thank You Event, 7:00 p.m. at West Avenue. Chairman's Club members have a profound impact on the lives of many through their gifts of $1,000 to $4,999. Young Leaders are donors age 45 or under who pave the way for the future through gifts of $1,000 or more annually.
