Help for those affected by Hurricane Ida

Hurricane Ida brought catastrophic storm surge, winds, and flash flooding to our neighbors in Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi. Our hearts go out to our friends and neighbors who have been affected by Hurricane Ida. We have individuals and families that evacuated to our Greater Houston community and are in need of support. We have mobilized to provide support and information and resources.

If you need help or know someone who does, call our 211 Texas/United Way HELPLINE 24/7 by dialing 211. 211 Texas/United Way HELPLINE answers the call for help 24/7 to connect those in need with available community resources. We have answered nearly 1,000 calls from individuals seeking assistance.  A dashboard of Hurricane Ida-related calls is available here.

We have compiled a list of Hurricane Ida resources that are currently available and will continue to update the list as more resources are deployed.

United Ways are here to help our communities through even the toughest times, like when a disaster strikes. Families, friends, and neighbors face weeks without power and water and urgently need supplies, resources, and support. If you would like to help those who have been affected by Hurricane Ida, please consider contributing to one of the United Ways on the ground working to help their neighbors and communities recover:
