Investments and Stewardship

United Way’s investments in Montgomery County are recommended by a volunteer Community Investment Committee and approved by the Regional Council. Both the Regional Council and the Community Investment Committee are involved in assessing community needs; reviewing program performance and making funding recommendations; and working with other local organizations to provide needed services not currently available.
United Way invests in Montgomery County in several different ways:

  • Agency Investments – In Montgomery County, over $3 million is invested in 23 agencies and 41 programs. The Regional Council and the Community Investment Committee provide year-round stewardship of these investments. United Way of Greater Houston is committed to this community and will continue to invest in services that make a lasting difference in Montgomery County.
  • United Way Montgomery County Center – The United Way invests in the Montgomery County Center to provide one-stop health and human services in Montgomery County. We are in the process of bringing in additional needed services to the center.
