Community Building Grants
*UPDATE FOR 2019
United Way of Greater Houston will be offering Community Building Grants for local nonprofits in 2019. In an effort to streamline the process, interested organizations are no longer required to attend an in-person mandatory funding conference. However, interested organizations will be required to view a webinar (1.5 hours in length) detailing the grant process and how to access the grant portal to submit applications.
The link to access the Cycle II webinar will be available for one day beginning September 9th at 9:00 am. The deadline to view the webinar will be September 10th by 9:00am. If you missed this deadline, your organization must wait until 2020 to apply for Community Building Grant funds.
Community Building Grants are one-time, short-term grants of $1,000 to $10,000 awarded to nonprofit civic and neighborhood groups for projects that benefit the community. For more information and to apply, please download the following:
