Community Building Grants

United Way of Greater Houston will be offering Community Building Grants for local nonprofits in 2019. In an effort to streamline the process, interested organizations are no longer required to attend an in-person mandatory funding conference. However, interested organizations will be required to view a webinar (1.5 hours in length) detailing the grant process and how to access the grant portal to submit applications.

The link to access the Cycle 1 webinar will be available on April 3, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.. The deadline to view the webinar will April 4, 2019 by 9:00 a.m. - a period of 24 hours. If you miss this deadline, your organization must wait until September 2019 to apply for Cycle II funds. 

Community Building Grants are one-time, short-term grants of $1,000 to $10,000 awarded to nonprofit civic and neighborhood groups for projects that benefit the community. For more information and to apply, please download the following:
