Interested in volunteering? Here are the next steps.

Step 1: Apply! 
Complete an online application. The deadline to apply for Phase 2 and Organizational Review is July 30, 2021.

Step 2: Volunteer Interview
Applicants will be contacted by United Way staff to schedule a 30-45 minute virtual interview to learn more about you and your interest in volunteering, further explain volunteer roles/responsibilities, and answer questions.

Step 3: Attend training
Accepted volunteers will start their volunteer service with training either in May/June or mid-summer, depending on their selected volunteer roles. All volunteer training sessions will be live virtual sessions to allow for full participation and robust engagement. The training prior to each volunteer opportunity is targeted to the knowledge and skills required for that phase. Volunteers who participate in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 will need to attend two separate volunteer training sessions.  

Official training session registration will be sent to all volunteer applicants after their interview.  The dates and times are listed below if you’d like to schedule time on your calendar now. Volunteers need to attend only one session per phase.

June 3, 2021 from 6 - 8pm
June 8, 2021 from 12 - 2pm

Phase 2 Regional Investment Teams (Select one session from the list below)
Wednesday, August 4, 12 pm - 2pm
Tuesday, August 10, 6 pm - 8 pm
Thursday, August 12, 9 am - 11 am

Step 4: Volunteer!
After training, volunteers will begin their work alongside United Way staff.
